It is overwhelming to try to briefly describe the past 50 years, but here goes! I began my career as a RN working on pediatrics, a brief stint at the Red Cross, and then a 15 year break while my children were young. I went back to school for a BS in Nursing and then worked 15 years in public health in Norcross, Athens and Gainesville, GA. When my husband retired in 1998 we joined the Peace Corp and were sent to the Dominican Republic. It was hard physically but a great experience and we met a lot of wonderful people. Lots of funny stories.
After graduating from nursing school I moved to Atlanta where I met my husband. In 1972 he accepted a teaching position in the Math Dept at Salem College in Winston Salem,NC. We moved back to Georgia in 1974 and then to Fort Worth,TX in 1976 for three years before moving back to Atlanta once again. In 2002, we moved to the beautiful North Georgia Mountains to Sautee-Nacoochee where we are enjoying life. I have enjoyed traveling, hiking, gardening and babysitting my 2 little grandsons. My Mom has lived with us for the past 11 years and is 92 years old. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and close friends and am loving retirement!
