I am currently living in Orlando but also have been living in San Blas, Nayarite Mexico. I have a photographic exhibition of the Huichol indians who lived in the Sierra Madre Mountains. San Blas is on the pacific coast and is a wonderful place to retire. I also lived on the caribbean island of Roatan off of Honduras next to the second largest coral reef in the world. It is also a nice place to retire.
School Story:

After my four years in the Navy I enrolled at California Polytechnic University in Pomona, California followed my Graduate school at the University of Tennessee where I recieived a masters degree in Social Work.

Post guaduate experience: I worked many years in county mental health programs in California and the last few years I have been employed as a crises counselor in several nationally declared disasters in several states. Those disasters included fires, earthquakes, tornados and hurricanes. (Hurricane Charley in Fla.)

I was a Navy Corpsmen (medic) stationed many places including Key West Florida, Rota Spain, Camp Lejune, N.C, (attached to the Marines) Okinawa, Marine Corp base 29 Palms, California

What's your favorite memory of HHS

My one year in the marching band. Making that exciting trip to D.C. Chicago and Virgina Beach

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

Live on a tropical island which I am doing now!

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I remember a school guidance counselor telling me I wasn't college material. Old well, we all make mistakes!

. I just wanted to say hello. I hope your health is OK now. I had surgery on a aneurysm on my neck but OK now.. I hope we have a 80 year reunion. I enjoy reading our H.H. 63 blog.

I am currently in the hospital. I am feeling better but the doctor had be on a medjcation I was allelgic to my mind was gone. I go to an mri now.

Larry, it is amazing that of all those 58,209 names you would see his first. It is like he was there to direct you! 

 

Did you notice that 2nd LT Franklin Delara's middle name was VICTORY which was a fitting name for a silver star winning solder who was so highly respected by his troops under his command and also very much honored by his fellow classmates.

Friday in the VA hospital in Orlando I had surgery on my left ankle which was caused by arthitis. It will take 6 to 8 weeks before I can put wieght bearing on my ankle. I am now in a short termed very good VA rehab. with no more pain!
